During the 1990s journalist Daryl Willcox noticed that while he was writing about the use of technology in business, media and public relations professionals weren’t using technology effectively to improve the way they communicated.

"We were writing about the dawn of the internet, yet we were getting swamped by a hundred paper press releases a day and on deadlines often standing by an ancient fax machine waiting for PR statements. It was crazy," Daryl says.

So in 1997 Daryl launched DWPub with the aim to make media communications easy. This simple vision remains at the heart of the company today.

DWPub's services have been developed to help public relations and media professionals connect, collaborate and tell stories more effectively. Today over 2,500 companies invest in the DWPub Media Suite, including 120 of the top 150 UK PR companies.

Our customers

Our customers are people with stories to tell such as PR agencies, departments and freelancers, as well as organisations that may not use professional PR services like small businesses, charities and individuals. These are people who want to get coverage of their stories in the media. We usually charge these people for our services.

And

People who tell stories such as journalists, publishers, TV and radio broadcasters, bloggers and social/news websites. This is the media – the people hungry for new stories to cover. Our services are normally free for these people.

We enable these people to connect and collaborate for more effective media coverage with simple, reliable and practical online services that our customers consider essential for their work.

What we do

We provide the media and marketing community with simple, easy-to-use and highly effective online media relations information, management and networking services which together we call the DWPub Media Suite.

Strongly committed to looking after our clients, we are completely independent.

Our company head office is in Croydon, South London, UK and we have representatives for France and Germany. Our expert, friendly team of nearly 40 dedicated staff serves clients in the UK and around 30 other countries.
